Based on the alfa-test concentricity-testing device, the alfa height adds a precision-ground Ø170 mm vacuum-hardened stainless steel measuring plate. Use the plate as the base for a height-measuring or marking gauge (not supplied).
The alfa height uses the unique alfa sys ball-bearing sleeve tool spindle (ISO 40 or ISO 50) to assure maximum runout accuracy of the tool spindle and precise position in Z-axis.
Additional M8 threads enable the fitting of an articulated stand for concentricity testing on face milling cutters, end mills, twist drills, etc.
Make use of the extensive catalog of alfa sys taper adaptors to measure a wide variety of different taper types.
DME – Noncontact measuring of center height on turning tools
The optional DME system adds a fixed second camera no the x-axis, along with an LED incident light to perform electronic measurement of center height on turning tools. The cutting edge will be displayed on the touchscreen in color at 20 / 40 or 80x magnification. With a mouse click on the cutting edge, the measured value appears on the screen. The maximal measuring range is +/- 3 mm from tool center.
Within this range it is possible to measure radii and angles by mouse click.
All alfa-set presetters alfa-set 23/25/44/46/64 and 66 with the image processing systems vision 2, vision 4 and the PC-Version vision 5 can be equipped with the center height measuring option “DME”.
